Zion Canyon itself, reaching up to 2,640 feet deep and with trails to match, is the most visited part of Zion National Park.
The Kolob Canyons, far less crowded and equally celebrated, is reached directly by Interstate 15. The main part of the park, however, is accessed through the 1.1-mile Mountain Carmel from its backside.
